At St. Michael’s Primary School we aim to ensure that all children are physically active for at least two hours per week through a broad and progressive P.E curriculum. The curriculum enables the children to develop their skills in a range of sports and activities as well as gain an understanding of the importance of healthy lifestyles and choices.
Through P.E lessons, children develop key social skills and have access to playing competitively. They develop their confidence in a range of sporting activities and are given access to leadership roles.
Children in each year group are also given opportunities to be coached by sport specialists. Teaching staff have access to a wide range of training opportunities to develop their skills in P.E.
