I am delighted that the children have settled well into the routines of school life. Our extra curricular opportunities are well supported with lovely voices in the choir, talented musicians in the orchestra and enthusiastic participation in our new football coaching initiative.

Children in Year 1 enjoyed their educational visit to Stockley Farm last week and Year 5 are visiting Jodrell Bank this week to link with their curriculum studies this half term.
I am aware Trafford School Meals Service has changed their menu and I have been informed by a number of parents that their children, who hitherto have enjoyed their school meal, are finding s school meals provider to Dolce. This organisation comes highly recommended and in all schools where Dolce is the provider, school meal uptake has increased. Please have a look on www.dolce.co.uk. We will
launch the Dolce menus towards the end of the Autumn Term and give parents all the information they require to understand how the Dolce system will work. Meanwhile, I have asked our experienced cook to produce food as close to the recipes the children enjoy here, leaving out the herbs and spices and the meals which are obviously unpopular with the children.

Church is in the process of appointing two foundation governors and school will be looking to appoint a parent governor in the near future. We have a highly skilled Governing Body and look forward to having an enthusiastic and willing parent who can contribute their personal skills to the team.
donations for the Michaelmas Fair, which is a week on Saturday, 28th September will be gratefully received on Friday. Home baking and donations of cakes and biscuits can be brought to school on Friday 27th September.
