Easter Letter

“I have come that everyone may have life and have it to the full (John10:10)

26th March 2015

Dear Parents

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Easter break. It has been a great term.

 The Trim Trail with new sections chosen by the School Council is complete. Many thanks to our PTA team.

 The Easter Egg hunt is becoming an established annual event. It was well attended and everyone enjoyed the traditional egg hunt and the decorated egg and Easter bonnet competition. The winner can be viewed on ‘Twitter’.

 Mrs Willshire has continued to support the children in various sporting activities. This half term the Y5 boys made the Trafford Swimming Gala final. Boys and girls in Y5 and Y6 participated in football matches. Two teams went to Trafford Tag Rugby; despite horrific weather all did well, the ‘A’ team being defeated in the semi final. The hockey teams have completed their league fixture at Timperley and all Year 1 children have participated in a multi skills session at Urmston Leisure Centre. Good luck to those taking part in the Lostock Cross Country event during the Easter Holidays. I would like to thank Mrs Willshire for the many late evenings she so willing gives to enable the children to attend competitive sport.

 Year 4 performed their trombone concert yesterday. It has been a challenging instrument to learn but great fun.

The Easter Service on Wednesday 25th March was combined with a farewell to Rev. Vicky. She has been a very special person in the children’s lives and the class tributes reflected that. We wish her all the best in her new job as Canon at Ely Cathedral.

Please could you fill in the feedback forms attached following our Parents’ Evenings.

For those of you taking part in the challenge of the Readathon over the holidays we hope you enjoy it. Please bring in any sponsorship money by the 17th April.

In order to comply with current legislation primary school must make milk available to every child who wants it. In order to facilitate this we are working in partnership with Cool Milk who, from the 27th April 2015, will provide milk at morning break for all children who have registered with them. If you wish your child to take milk please fill in and return the form sent out with this letter direct to Cool Milk. Our nursery children will continue to receive free milk and parents of these children do not need to register their child.
