From the Head Teacher, Mrs Kimber
On behalf of the children, staff and governors of St Michael’s School welcome to our school website.
St. Michael's Flixton is a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School which enjoys close links with St. Michael's Church. It is our responsibility to help each child develop a set of Christian moral values as a pattern for life.
The school serves the community by providing high quality education for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years. At St. Michael's we will give all children the opportunity to fulfil their potential within an environment where each individual is valued.
St. Michael's received an outstanding Ofsted Report in March 2007, closely followed by an outstanding National Society Anglican Schools Report in July 2007.
The school has an up to date ICT suite and PC's and interactive whiteboards are installed in all classrooms to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
Music and sport are strong features at St. Michael's and we encourage the children to take part in a wide range of activites.
The school has an excellent reputation for being open and friendly and families are made welcome within the school community.
I am proud to be the Headteacher at St. Michael's and part of a team of professionals who work together to support children's learning and foster partnerships between home and school.
The website is designed to give you an overview of our school but we would be pleased to talk to you in person and show you the school in action.
