Newsletter 7 – Autumn Term 2015

Reminders
Monday 14th December 9.30 a.m. KS1 Nativity in School
Tuesday 15th December 2.30 p.m. Key Stage 2 Carols in Church
6.30 p.m. Key Stage 2 Carols in Church
Please note all KS2 children are expected to attend the 6.30 p.m. Carol Concert in Church. They will need to arrive
for 6.15 pm. If you are not attending this Service, please arrange to collect your child from Church at 7.30 p.m.
September Intake 2016
Please note that applications for Reception Class places for September 2016 need to be completed by 15th January
2016. Application should be made to both school and the Local Authority.
School Christmas Parties
School Christmas parties are taking place on the following days. Children can come to school in their party clothes
on the day of their class party. Information with regard to food will be sent out via class DoJo’s.
Friday 11th December Year 3 and Year 4
Tuesday 15th December Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Wednesday 16th December Year 5 and Year 6
Francis House
Thank you for your generous support of our Francis House fundraising. All the soft toys were sold and we raised a
total of £382.38.
Pond Update
Thank you also to everybody who came along to help with the work on the pond. This has now been completed and
our next development will be to building a dipping platform. We are applying for grants again and request support
from the PTA for this next stage.
New Year 2016
Cashless School
From January the school office is becoming ‘cashless’. You will have received, together with this newsletter, a
notification letter giving general information with regard to ParentPay. Next week you will receive the Activation
Letter which will explain how to register with ParentPay.
In line with becoming a cashless office all school meals will now have to be paid for by Direct Debit. These can be
set up online with https://livekitchen.co.uk. You will need to login to the Parent page. If you do not have a Dolce
account at present please contact the school office with your e-mail address and we will arrange for an account to
be set up for you.
LINGOTOT FOREIGN LANGUAGE LUNCH CLUB – NEW LANGUAGE ADDED FOR SPRING TERM
Come and have fun learning FRENCH, MANDARIN or SPANISH! Lingotot lunch club open to existing and new
children!
The language is learnt through songs, play and story telling in 30 minute lunch time sessions.
Spring term starts on w/c 11th January 2016 and run for 11 weeks until w/e 1st April 2016 and will cost £25.

Movie Night – Please be aware that the cut-off date for the request of tickets is tomorrow, Wednesday 9th
December. Please ensure payment is made in full by the end of the afternoon.
Sale of Stock!
We will be selling off the old stock of book bags (£3) and sweatshirts (£4) next week. If you wish to purchase any
items please call into the school office before the end of term.
School finishes at the normal time of 3.30 p.m. on Friday 18th December 2015.
