Growth Mindset
Thank you to parents who returned the pro-forma regarding Sharon Amensu’s ‘Growth Mindset’ session. The
response indicates insufficient interest to repeat the presentation as from 23 replies the majority (18) ticked a 6.30
p.m. session, which would present an attendance below a cost effective exercise.
I hope you found the well attended class teacher meetings at the beginning of the term useful and informative. The
children have settled well into their new classes and forthcoming educational visits will enhance their exciting
education:
Year 1 – Stockley Farm 5th October
Year 3 – York Museum 23rd November
Year 4 – Manchester Museum – Ancient Egypt 5th November
Year 6 – Jorvik Museum – York 8th October
Thank you for your continued support of educational visits through your voluntary contributions.
On 1st October, ‘Kinetic Theatre’ will be presenting a Science based learning session, (gases, liquids, solids) to both
Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This valuable learning programme will be funded by the P.T.A.
School Nurse
Liz Ross will be in school on Wednesday 7th October between 8.30 and 9.30 a.m. This drop-in session provides an
opportunity for parents to attend if they have any health concerns which they feel may be affecting their child’s
school life.
